Our Story
We Didn't Fall Into Telecom. We Were Called to It.
Founded in 2021 — built on 25+ years of the owner’s personal commercial telecom expertise. A deep respect for the tradesmen who came before us. And an unshakeable belief that the work of connecting the world deserves to be done with pride.
The Legacy We Carry
From Ma Bell to Fiber. The Love Never Left.
There was a time when a telephone lineman was one of the most respected tradesmen in the country. The men and women who built the Bell System didn't just string wire — they connected families, businesses, and communities. They showed up in every kind of weather, climbed every kind of structure, and took genuine pride in the infrastructure they left behind.
That era shaped everything we believe about this trade. The technology has changed — copper gave way to fiber, analog gave way to IP, Ma Bell gave way to a thousand carriers — but the standard of craftsmanship those early tradesmen set hasn't changed. It shouldn't. And at VIP Telecom, it doesn't.
I've been in this industry since 1999. VIP Telecom was founded in 2021 — but the knowledge, the instincts, and the standards we hold ourselves to were built over the 22 years before that first job. And I still genuinely love it. The elegance of a well-dressed rack. The satisfaction of a clean fiber splice. The moment a system comes alive and a client's facility works the way it was designed to. That's not just a job. That's a calling.
The technology has changed. The standard of craftsmanship those early tradesmen set hasn't. It shouldn't. And at VIP Telecom, it doesn't.
How We Show Up
Every Site is Someone's Business. We Show Up as a Guest.
When VIP Telecom walks onto a job site, we're walking into someone's business — their livelihood, their investment, their daily operation. We treat it that way. We're quiet where we need to be quiet, careful where we need to be careful, and communicative every step of the way. We don't just install technology. We earn the right to be trusted with it.
Curated Estimating
We don't hand you a generic bid. We walk your site, understand your goals, and engineer a solution built around your budget, your timeline, and the specific demands of your facility.
Design-Build Precision
From the first site walk through the final as-built drawing, we own the scope. Engineering, coordination, installation, and documentation — all under one roof, one point of contact.
Tradesmen's Standards
Labeled runs. Tested connections. Organized racks. Documented handovers. The kind of work that holds up when someone opens the panel five years from now and says — whoever did this knew what they were doing.
Genuine Accountability
We don't disappear after the install. If something isn't right, we make it right. Our reputation is built one project at a time, and we protect it on every single one.
The Heart of This Company
Not a Sales Pitch. Just the Right Way to Run a Company.
We take care of our people — great pay, company vehicles, uniforms, cutting-edge tools — not because it looks good in a brochure. Because it's the right thing to do. This company exists to serve the community it operates in. The employees are a priority. The customers are the reason. And the work itself is the reward.
Two-thirds of the time, we're not on a job site. We're husbands, dads, moms, friends — fishing the Boise River, coaching little league, sitting around a fire on a Friday night. The lives this work makes possible matter here. We don't build a company to extract from people. We build it so the people inside it can live well.
This is a collective. The estimator, the project manager, the tech pulling cable in a drop ceiling at 6am — every part matters, and nobody is a number. We know each other's families. We celebrate together. When a job gets hard, the whole team rallies — not out of obligation, but because that's the culture we've chosen to build and protect.
And when a project is done — really done, documented and handed over and done right — there's a building somewhere in this valley with our work inside it. Fiber we spliced. Cameras we mounted. Racks we dressed. You drive past it years later and you know. That's not a contract number. That's a mark. That's the real reward.
Drive through Boise and you'll pass buildings we've wired, secured, and connected. That quiet pride — that's why we do this.
Great Pay
Wages that reflect the skill and sacrifice this trade demands. Not "competitive" — genuinely good. Because that's what the work is worth.
Company Vehicles & Uniforms
Fully equipped trucks and professional uniforms. Show up ready. Look the part. Represent something worth being proud of.
Cutting-Edge Tools
Modern project management software, quality equipment, and organized systems — because people set up to succeed actually do.
Family & Free Time
We work hard. We also go home. Fishing trips, family dinners, Friday nights. The life outside the job is the whole point.
Pride in the Craft
Clean installs. Documented handovers. Work worth driving past years later and knowing — we did that, and we did it right.
Built on Relationships
Not contracts. Not completion emails. Real relationships with clients, partners, and each other — the kind that outlast any single job.
Our Approach
How Every Project Gets Done.
The same disciplined process on every job — whether it's a single network drop or a full campus buildout.
Listen First
We start by understanding your facility, your goals, and your constraints. A great installation begins with a great conversation.
Engineer the Solution
We design a scope built around your budget, timeline, and site-specific needs — not a template pulled from a drawer.
Install with Pride
Clean workmanship, organized infrastructure, and the kind of attention to detail that comes from 25+ years of owner experience in the trade.
Hand Over with Clarity
Testing, documentation, and a complete closeout package. You know what was installed, where it is, and how it was verified.
Deployed & Ready
When We Show Up, We Mean Business.
Some jobs demand more than a truck and a tool bag. For the projects that require full entrenchment — multi-day buildouts, remote sites, complex installs where you can't afford a single wasted trip — we deploy the War Wagon.
Deployed & Ready
When We Show Up, We Mean Business.
The War Wagon is not responsible for any feelings of inadequacy experienced by other contractors' vehicles. Results may vary. Side effects include: jobs done right, on time, and without drama.

Hilti Certified — Concrete Drilling & DX Powder-Actuated Tools
Certified in Hilti concrete drilling techniques and Hilti DX powder-actuated fastening systems. Proper anchoring and penetration methods aren't optional on commercial jobs — they're code, safety, and craft. We do it right the first time.
CAD Design-Build & As-Built Documentation
From basic field records to fully detailed as-builts — technical callouts, rack elevations, and BIM-modeled comm rooms. Documentation is scaled to the job: every project gets something clean and usable, complex infrastructure gets the full treatment.
Milwaukee and Klein Tools — Authorized Partner
We run Milwaukee and Klein Tools across the board — not because they are popular, but because they are the right tools for the work we do. As an authorized partner with both brands, we get access to professional-grade equipment, factory service, and the purchasing relationships that keep our kits current. The right tool, properly maintained, is part of doing the job right.
Behind the Scenes
The Admin Is Part of the Craft.
The install is only half the job. What separates a professional contractor from a vendor is what happens before, during, and after the work — the communication, the documentation, and the handover. At VIP Telecom, the back office runs as tight as the field.
Titled, Trackable Email Threads
Consistent subject lines on every communication. Clients can search and find exactly what they need — months or years later.
Project Management Updates
Regular status updates throughout the job — what's done, what's next, what needs a decision. No radio silence.
Job Site Photography
Before, during, and after documentation — infrastructure, terminations, and finished installs. Visual records that protect the client and validate the work.
Formal Closeout Packages
Test results, as-builts, warranty info, and a full install record. The kind of documentation the next contractor will thank you for.
Clean Proposals & Scopes of Work
Detailed, itemized, plain-language estimates. Clients know exactly what they're approving — no vague line items, no scope creep.
Proprietary Estimating & Takeoff Software
We built our own. Custom estimating and digital takeoff platforms — developed exclusively for VIP Telecom — mean every bid is precise, every material count is verified, and nothing is padded to cover guesswork.
We Price Work. We Don't Quote It.
Our price is the price. It reflects what it actually costs to show up with the right people and do the job right. We're selective about the work we take on — because our existing clients deserve a contractor whose time isn't consumed chasing low-margin revisions that race the industry to the bottom.
Single Point of Contact
One person owns your project from estimate to closeout. No handoffs. No confusion. Just consistent, accountable communication.
CAD Design-Build & Pre-Construction Budgeting
Infrastructure layouts and system designs before construction begins — so you can forecast costs and budget accurately before a single cable is pulled.
Most contractors hand you a system. We hand you a complete record of everything we built — so the next person who opens that panel knows exactly what they're looking at, and why it was done that way.
