Structured Cabling & Network Infrastructure

The Foundation Every Network Depends On.

Clean, documented, and tested copper cabling infrastructure — installed right the first time so your IT team can build on it with confidence.

What We Install

VIP Telecom handles the full scope of commercial structured cabling — from initial site walk and design through installation, testing, and documented handover. We work in new construction, tenant improvements, and existing facilities across Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Eagle, Caldwell, Kuna, Star, and throughout Idaho.

Scope of Work

Copper Cabling

Category 6, 6A, and higher-grade horizontal cabling runs installed to TIA/EIA standards with proper bend radius, slack, and separation from power.

Network Drops

Workstation, access point, IP camera, and device drops placed per your floor plan with consistent labeling at both ends.

MDF / IDF Buildouts

Main and intermediate distribution frames designed and built for your facility — rack layout, power, grounding, and cable management included.

Equipment Racks

Open-frame and enclosed rack installation, mounting, and cable management. We build racks that are clean, organized, and easy to work in.

Cable Management

Horizontal and vertical managers, J-hooks, cable trays, and conduit runs that keep infrastructure organized and serviceable long-term.

Labeling & Testing

Every run labeled at both ends. Fluke or equivalent certification testing with printed reports delivered at project closeout.

Documentation

As-built drawings, port schedules, and test reports handed over at project completion so your team knows exactly what was installed and where.

Why It Matters

Fewer Troubleshooting Calls

Properly installed and tested cabling eliminates the intermittent issues that waste IT time and disrupt operations.

Ready for What Comes Next

Category 6A supports 10GbE and PoE++ today and leaves headroom for future technology without a recable.

Clean Handover

Labeled runs and test documentation mean any technician — yours or ours — can work in the space without guessing.

Service Area

We serve commercial facilities across the Treasure Valley and throughout Idaho — Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Eagle, Caldwell, Kuna, Star, Garden City, Mountain Home, Twin Falls, Idaho Falls, Pocatello, and beyond. If you're in Idaho, we can get there.

Common Questions

Do you serve Meridian, Nampa, and the Treasure Valley?
Yes. VIP Telecom serves commercial facilities throughout the Treasure Valley — Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Eagle, Caldwell, Kuna, Star, and Garden City — as well as statewide Idaho projects.
What certifications do your structured cabling installations carry?
We deliver Fluke or equivalent certification testing with printed reports at project closeout. Our team holds Corning certification for fiber work, and all copper installations are tested to TIA/EIA standards.
Do you handle both new construction and existing facilities?
Yes. We work in new construction, tenant improvements, and occupied facilities. We coordinate with GCs, property managers, and IT teams to minimize disruption.
What is a low voltage contractor?
A low voltage contractor installs cabling and systems that operate below 50 volts — structured cabling, fiber optics, security cameras, access control, and alarm systems. VIP Telecom is a licensed low voltage contractor serving Idaho commercial facilities.
